Pretending to be a Christmas present.

A great Christmas story: North wrapped himself in gift paper and layed down under the Christmas tree pretending to be a Christmas present. He then fell asleep.

North writes "dad" for the first time ever

It's December 6th, my birthday, and North wrote "dad" on the card envelope. As an extra show-off he signed "North" on the card by writing it starting at last letter and going right to left.

North with Mommy's glasses

North and his Kindergarten teacher Ms Taylor

5 years old and carrying a smartphone

I gave North my old EVO 4G smartphone, and he's carrying it in his front right pocket just like me. He's two months away from being 6 in this photo.

Fast Robot, North's first time being truly excited about Halloween and a costume

North has always participated in Halloween. For his very first Halloween we strolled around Fremont and got candy at the businesses. His very first piece of Halloween candy ever gotten while Trick or Treating was at Jive Time Records on Fremont Avenue.

What has changed this year is North pretending to be a fast robot. I know where he got the idea, it was from our watching the Boston Dynamics "Wildcat" running robot, specifically this video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wE3fmFTtP9g.

North has been running around at home with a box or laundry basket over his head and saying he's a fast robot. So we went out searching for a robot costume. We found it in this Transformers costume. North is really happy. And really fast.
