North's 6th birthday: Party with all his classmates and friends

North sent invitations to all his classmates and local friends, and all of them came.  Sixteen kids. They had an hour of free play in the whole gym. Then thirty minutes of birthday party with cake and presents.

My favorite moment was at the last, when his mom and I exchanged a few words saying we'd skip presenting the gifts because it might be too much along with all else going on. North's classmates, most austistic, just walked over on their own, got their gifts to him, surrounded him, and each gave him their gift in the most graceful way imaginable.
